SSPU at HOB Vegas
Packed house (GA floor), high energy band and crowd. SSPU was good, but I wish the sound and mixing was better ... the slower and quieter songs were clear, but the faster and louder songs (that is, most of the songs) were kind of muddy and hard to hear some of the instruments and vocals. The band members probably don't even know this, because they have in-ear monitors, they need to send someone with a good ear out into the middle of the venue for a critical listen. But, except for that, a fun show, still definitely worth seeing, but I wish the sonic nuances that make the studio albums brilliant could transfer to the concert-version better.
